During the hour, I will survey songs that made it all the way to number 1 on the Billboard Top 100 charts. The survey focuses on the first thirty-five years of the unofficial 'rock and roll era' -- 1955 - 1989. This show was inspired by the wonderful "American Top 40", starring Casey Kasem, which I listened to religiously each week as a youngster and teenager. As with the "AT40", I hope to not only entertain the listener by playing number one hits, but also to provide information and a little trivia for each of the songs.
